Does my bff's cousin like me, or just want to be my friend?

Ok so when I was 14 I did junior life guards with my bff Clarissa and her cousin Holden, Holden and I spent some time together but I was mostly around Clarissa. After junior life guards Holden and I saw a lot more of each other and every time I see him, even when his friends are around, he wants to be around me. And he is always trying to impress me!!!!! I don't like him or want to be his friend, he's just eewww.... and I really think he just wants to be friends, whats your opinion?
