When did El Pollo Loco change their seasoning on their Chicken?

I used to eat at EPL in the late 1990's. I hadn't eaten their since then. Tonight I did, and seemed to recall a tangy, orange seasoning covering their chicken. Now, it is more barbecuesque. Did they change their seasoning?
