Yahoos official statement on the chat rooms?

does anyone know what yahoos official stand is on the way the chat rooms are all screwed up. I know that they redid the naming convention of the rooms by adding the :#'s at the end of the room but all the rooms are filled to the brim with bots. They claimed before that this was to reduce the bots but it seems it made things worse. If they wanted to make people abandon yahoo chat they are going about it the right way but wouldnt it be easier to just close the program down?
